Ok So I wrote this a long time ago, and am just now getting here to post it.
Happy Birthday Maddy
Well Maddy turned 3 a few days ago. Where does the time go? It seems so cliché to say “ it seems like just yesterday she was born”, but really the time just flies by us.
Of course she wanted a Dora themed party. I tried taking her into getting a Princess cake, she responded with “ Yeah a Dora princess”. All of her friends came over for the celebration. She had a great time. For reference, she is weighing about 32 pounds. We got her a 12’ bike she still struggles a little to get it going, but nothing a little practice wont take care of. She knows all her letters, and sounds. She can sound out small words and read them, such as DOG, BUS, CAT. Our favorite game to play in the car is “what is the letter”. I say a word and she tells me what the first letter in the word is by sounding it out. She can count to 20 with minor mess ups, but still not so great at identifying numbers. Maddy is the happiest little girl, so excited for everything. However, she can get grumpy and when she does everybody better watch out. Her “look” could hurt people.
