I cant believe Maddy is 4 years old, really where does the time go. Today we had her birthday party, she was so excited. She told me when she blew the candles out "I really do feel older", she cracks me up. Years ago I told her she could not have gum until she was 5 years old, she accepted this but some how over the years she changed it to 4. So today was the big day, Trever bought her her very own pack of gum.. fruit stripes. Trever and I were laughing so hard when she ate her first piece, its like it was the most sacred thing of her life. She ate the whole pack by the end of her party.
At 4 year check up she weighs in at 37 pounds (65th percentile), and 39 inches tall (30th percentile)
As the Facebook craze is in full force, I thought I would do "25 things about Maddy"
1. She loves her sister so much, shes always worried about where/what shes doing. She is really scared of her "falling" into the heating ducts so If Kennedy even gets close Maddy is panicked.
2. Counts to 100 with no mistakes
3. Gavin is her best friend
4. Can read most 2-6 letter words, except the really tricky ones
5. Tuesdays are her favorite day because she gets to be with her Grandma Barbara
6. She is one of the most excitable kids I have ever know
7. She will eat anything you put on her plate, except blueberries and one other thing that I cant think of right now
8. Is a bit sassy, she has an attitude. I'm dreading teenage years
9. Loves shoes, but they have to be in order. She places them in order at least once a day
10. Can remember the craziest things, even from when she was only 1 or 2 years old
11. Every time she finds a penny she tells me Grandpa Ed is sending her a kiss, and if she finds two its Grandpa Ed and Red. Not sure where she got that idea from
12. She has a very LARGE imagination
13. Dreams at night, and wakes to tell me about them. I love hearing about her dreams, so innocent and fun
14. She really is beautiful. Almost everyone that meets her tells me how beautiful she is.
15. Has a great personality
16. Will not use automatic flushing toilets
17. Has OCD about some things (like the shoes)
18. Wakes up by 8am every morning no matter how late she went to bed. Unless she is having a sleep over at Uncles Paul's then she manages to sleep later, although I have never witnessed it
19. Truly loves her family and friends, she get so excited when she gets to see any of them.
20. Loves her dogs, but HATES them being in her room
21. Gets to pick out her socks every day, even if they don't match. Its our compromise
22. When she gets really excited to say something, the words just cant come out and repeats herself over and over.
23. Lava Hot Springs is her favorite place. She pretends to go there with Gavin daily
24. The only thing she ever wants to take for show and tell is her "handy dandy flashlight"
25. She continues to amaze me with the things that come out of her mouth. She has wisdom far beyond years!
